Personal

A Guilford native, Leigh attended Guilford High School, lived in New York City, Paris, France and Chicago before attending Mount Holyoke College where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in Dance from Sarah Lawrence College and went on to perform, choreograph and teach in the New York area. Leigh returned to Guilford and became a Realtor in 1988. She has earned the designations of Graduate Realtor Institute, Accredited Buyer Representative and became a Connecticut Real 星空体育官方网址 Broker in 2002. Leigh is a Guild Member of The Institute of Luxury Home Marketing.  The Whiteman Team was formed in 2003. Leigh has assisted well over 1000 families and individuals buy and sell homes and make prudent investments in real estate. Leigh married her partner for life, Jef Ruchti in 1977. They have two children and three grandchildren. Leigh loves to hike (especially in Hawaii) and is an avid reader. Leigh has volunteered in the schools and on numerous community projects, including serving as the President of the Board of Directors for the Shoreline Arts Alliance and as Vice President of the Board of Directors for the VNA Community Health Care. She has served on numerous committees of the local Board of Realtors including serving as a member of the Board of Directors.
