About Rita Magyar

Rita is a lifelong resident of lower Fairfield County. Having grown up in Stamford, she began her real estate career in earnest after becoming a partner in the Charter House Real ÐÇ¿ÕÌåÓý¹Ù·½ÍøÖ· Company. Together, with three mega agent partners during the years 1975 through 1990, Charter House was one of the most recognized and successful boutique real estate brokerage firms in Stamford. The partners averaged individually, low- to mid-six-figure annual commission incomes in a time when such a feat was rare if not revolutionary.

Recognizing the need for affiliation with a larger, more technologically innovative company, Rita joined her former partner Lorraine Leonard at William Raveis Real ÐÇ¿ÕÌåÓý¹Ù·½ÍøÖ·. Having moved to Greenwich with her husband Charles and their two children, Rita opted to join the Greenwich office, where she continued her amazing success in the greater Stamford area.

In 1993, Charles, a mega agent in his own right, specializing in commercial real estate, joined Rita at Raveis and together they founded The Magyar Team.

Rita is a golfing legend at the Burning Tree Country Club. As a past lady?s club champion, and repeated senior club champion, she was awarded the top lady golfer at BTCC in 2019 for the third year in a row.

Rita is a busy grandmother of five outstanding grandsons, and is active philanthropically in many Christian charities. Rita?s main business endeavor continues to be real estate, and as such, co-founded the application of The Magyar CMA, a process whereby members of The Magyar Team prepare highly analytical broker price opinions for their clients.
